2023 Habitat for Humanity Build Days
On August 18, 2023, the Power Properties’ team participated alongside Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in their latest development project. This project is taking place in Calgary’s NE community of Cornerstone. Habitat for Humanity is building three-story townhouses for low-income families and will be the future home of 11 families in Calgary.
Over the past four years, Power Properties has donated $25,000 to the Habitat for Humanity organization. This was made possible through the generous support and donations of their tenants, clients, and team members. Most of Power Properties' tenants and clients have committed to a monthly donation of $1 each, while their team members have pledged $5 per month. Every dollar raised is matched by Power Properties, and donated directly to the organization. These donations pay for Habitat's land expenses, building materials, and contracted tradespeople.
